Position: AutoCAD Drafter & Designer

Location: Downey, CA

Employment Type: Part-time (Approx. 30 hours per week)

Hours: Flexible, typically between 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Compensation: $26-32 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter & Designer to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating precise technical drawings and designs for various projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers and architects, ensuring that drawings are accurate, meet project requirements, and adhere to building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Create and modify detailed AutoCAD drawings and designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to gather specifications and ensure accuracy.
• Interpret sketches, technical drawings, and other design inputs to create precise CAD plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and company standards.
• Maintain and organize project files, revisions, and drawing documentation.
• Conduct on-site visits to verify measurements and gather information for design updates.
• Assist in preparing technical drawings for client presentations and meetings.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), with experience in drafting for architecture or engineering projects.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and design.
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and architectural/engineering standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings.
• Familiarity with other design software (Revit, SketchUp) is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  
  

Compensation & Working Hours:

• Compensation: $26-32 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• This position requires around 30 hours of work per week. Hours vary but are typically between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Flexibility is essential, as some projects may require additional time to meet deadlines.
