About the Job
As a School Crossing Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians crossing the street on their way to and from school. This involves working in school neighborhoods, interacting with parents, children, and other members of the community.
Responsibilities
- Safely guide pedestrians across designated intersections or crosswalks
- Monitor traffic flow and stop vehicles as needed to ensure safe crossings
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and drivers to promote safety
- Maintain compliance with all safety practices
Requirements
- This position often requires short response times to the job site, so candidates residing in or adjacent to Annville Township are preferred
- Agility and balance are essential for this role
Compensation and Benefits
Candidates will earn $17.75 per hour, with shifts available one hour before and one hour after school. Working both shifts results in a daily earnings of $35.
