JOB DUTIES

All-Clad has a number of departments/cells within the plant that have specific jobs in creating and assembling the cookware from start to finish; here are some of the union laborer jobs in each department/cell:

• Clad - assembling the sheet metal which is fed into a mill to bond the layers of sheets into one; conditioning the sheet metal to end up perfectly flat so the machines can stamp out discs ("blanks") out of the sheets.
• Forming - running hydraulic presses (to form the product); running hilite machines (to condition the lip/rim/interior of the product); inspecting the rough form of the product to identify any marks or defects and rework if needed.
• Finishing - operating large buffing machines to polish the cookware; dry hiliting the cookware pieces; feeding the pieces onto a conveyor that conditions the exterior of the product.
• Assembly - folding cardboard to create boxes; riveting on the handles of the pots/pans; inspecting and bagging up the cookware; packing and stacking the boxes onto skids in specific order.

Most of our union labor jobs require lifting and frequent manual handling of material and product. This will be a rigorous job with lifting and various ergonomic movements involved along with standing the entire time up to 10 hours a day, so being physically fit is a must. Not all of our laborers run machinery, but if so you will receive on-the-job training on proper and accurate set-ups/adjustments for the settings on the machinery.

HIRING NEEDS

We are currently hiring for the Swing Shift; this is a FULL-TIME position (we do not have part-time positions)--

• Swing Shift (one week daylight turn then next week afternoon turn, in an alternating "swing" pattern). On a typical 40 hour week without OT, daylight shift is 7:00am-3:00pm Mon-Fri; afternoon shift is 3:00p-11:00p Mon-Fri. When working on the Afternoon turn, workers receive a 30 cents an hour differential.

***WE ARE IN MANDATORY OVERTIME MODE so workers are scheduled to work any given week as either 5 - 10 hour days Mon-Fri OR as 6 - 8 hour days Mon-Sat. Swing shift overtime for the 5 -10s schedule is typically scheduled as 5:00am to 3:00pm on daylight turn, and 3:00pm to 1:00am on afternoon turn (Mon-Fri); the 6 - 8s schedule is the normal shift hours an 8 hour Saturday. The scheduling of overtime hours and days is decided by management. YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ON ANY GIVEN SATURDAY.***

We also have a steady Midnight shift which runs from 11p-7a Sun eves through Thu eves and it is also subject to mandatory overtime just as the swing shift. The Steady Midnight overtime for the 5 - 10s schedule is typically scheduled as 9:00pm to 7:00am (Sun eve-Thu eve); the 6 - 8s schedule is the normal shift hours an 8 hour Fri eve into Sat am. If you prefer to work on Midnight shift, you must start on swing shift first then bid for a midnight shift position.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is REQUIRED.
• AT LEAST 1 YEAR of relevant manufacturing production labor experience is REQUIRED; 3 years of manufacturing experience with machinery preferred.
• Reliability in commuting to and from plant location in the Southpointe area of Canonsburg PA is REQUIRED (we are NOT on a bus line).
• MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK MANDATORY OVERTIME which is either a 48 hour or a 50 hour week and may include Saturdays. The scheduled work hours are posted every Thursday prior to the upcoming production week, and it could be scheduled as working 5-10s Mon-Fri, OR working 6-8s Mon-Sat. The scheduling of overtime hours and days is decided by management; you MUST be available to work on any given Saturday.
• *Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment 10-panel urinalysis drug screen, a one-hour physical fitness test and a thorough criminal background check.*
