Portfolio Manager
The Portfolio Manager is a full-time exempt position working Monday – Friday & weekends for emergencies as needed, that provides direct support to Operations and is the primary point of contact to customers and the main point of contact to Vendor Partners within their assigned portfolio of business. They work closely with local clients. The Portfolio Manager will grow current territory by landing new business and growing out current book of business through generating leads and networking events, etc.
The Portfolio Manager is integral to the success of the company in the role of maintaining excellent client relations and managing/developing our Vendor Partners on a nationwide scale. This position involves travel to multiple sites throughout Michigan (Muskgeon & Grand Rapids), with a monthly car allowance.
Portfolio Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grow current territory with new business and expanding current business
- Develop and maintain positive vendor relations to ensure superior customer satisfaction.
- Receive and handle customer calls and email requests for services within a timely manner.
- Manage the scheduling and completion of all services assigned by customers or the Operations Team.
- Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using technology and databases.
- Resolve or escalate all disputes or unsatisfied service confirmations in a timely manner.
- Maintain open communication with Vendors in a manner that adheres to all contracts and agreed upon Scope of Work throughout the duration of the relationship.
- Provide market intelligence feedback to maximize customer satisfaction and to ensure strategies and policies are in place to attract and retain customers.
- Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Enter information into database ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Educate clients and vendors on the benefits of our additional services and programs.
- Resolve most/all client and vendor issues without escalation.
- Provide creative solutions to meet client needs and maximize value.
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives, as requested by the Chief Operating Officer or the client.
- Work inside our technology platform and address all requests/moves/adds/changes.
- Provide management with recommendations to changes in procedures, as needed.
- Fostering a positive team environment.
