We are looking for a highly organized and driven Embroidery Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our embroidery department's workflow. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and works closely alongside the Embroidery Supervisor to ensure efficient production, quality control, and timely order fulfillment. The Embroidery Operations Manager will be responsible for maximizing productivity, maintaining quality standards, managing labor, and improving processes in a fast-paced, high-volume embroidery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight & Efficiency
- Oversee daily embroidery operations, ensuring production runs smoothly across multiple shifts.
- Develop and implement efficient workflow strategies to maximize output without compromising quality.
- Monitor production schedules, adjust priorities as needed, and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Work closely with the Embroidery Supervisor to manage staffing levels and shift assignments.
- Identify bottlenecks in the process and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Quality Control & Process Improvement
- Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure every embroidered item meets customer expectations.
- Conduct spot checks and audits to maintain embroidery standards.
- Work with the Embroidery Supervisor to train and develop embroidery staff on quality control best practices.
- Oversee maintenance of embroidery machines, ensuring proper upkeep and reducing downtime.
- Continuously seek and implement process improvements to enhance quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and support embroidery team members, ensuring proper training and development.
- Serve as a bridge between leadership and the production floor, communicating expectations and feedback effectively.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and workplace organization.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with VP of Operations, supervisors, and other departments to align embroidery production with company goals.
- Track key performance metrics (output, efficiency, production rates) and provide regular reports.
- Assist with inventory management for embroidery supplies (threads, backing, needles, etc.).
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years of experience in embroidery production, manufacturing, or operations management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate teams.
- Deep understanding of embroidery processes, machines, and quality control standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve to improve workflow and reduce errors.
- Experience in scheduling, labor management, and production planning.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
