Job Summary : The Lead Contents Technician is responsible for overseeing the restoration and cleaning of personal property and contents affected by fire, water, mold, or other damages. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring quality control, and maintaining adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contents restoration, leadership experience, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and supervise a team of contents technicians in the cleaning, restoration, and inventory of personal property.
Coordinate with project managers to develop and implement restoration plans for clients.
Ensure all contents are handled with care and restored to pre-loss condition when possible.
Maintain detailed records of items restored, replaced, or disposed of, including photographs and documentation.
Oversee the packing, moving, and storage of clients' belongings during the restoration process.
Train and mentor team members on restoration techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure high standards are met.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to lead and asbestos handling.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting items up to 75 pounds.

Capability to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, stand, walk, and raise arms above head for extended periods.

Comfortable working in confined spaces and various environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, mold, and other allergens.

Proficiency in using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in restoration or related fields preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in contents restoration, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Knowledge of restoration techniques for various types of materials, including textiles, electronics, and furniture.

Familiarity with industry-standard cleaning agents, equipment, and methods.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
