The candidate must have a minimum of one-year experience in a pet care facility (animal hospital, boarding facility, animal shelter). We are a busy hospital preparing for future growth. Position Summary: Primarily responsible for all aspects of boarding and kennel care. To provide exemplary client service while being a team player.
Qualifications Required:
- One-year experience in a pet care facility (animal hospital, boarding facility, animal shelter)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Monitor playgroups for positive and safe play
- Clean up potty accidents
- Cleaning premises inside and outside
- Demonstrate appropriate disinfecting techniques
- Bathing animals and performing simple grooming procedures including but not limited to nail trims, anal gland expression, and sanitary clips
- Educate potential customers on our services and benefits of our boarding
- Effectively handle animals in a safe and kind manner
- Occasionally Obtain stool and urine samples from patients
- Administer medications
- Occasionally answer telephones
- Checking out clients, reviewing invoices with clients and obtaining payment for services
- Invoice services provided

Job Requirements:
- Previous dog or animal experience
- Working weekends required
- Be able to work rotating holiday schedule
- Be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Be able to lift/carry up to 40lbs
- Be able to work in the heat/cold/rain
