Join our team at All Creatures Animal Hospital in Eagle Point, Oregon, where compassion meets professionalism! We are currently seeking a dedicated Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our esteemed veterinary clinic.
Position: Veterinary Assistant or Technician
Location: All Creatures Animal Hospital, Eagle Point, Oregon
Starting Wage: $16.00/hour with potential for increase within the first 90 days
Responsibilities:
- Safely monitor patients under anesthesia
- Assist with dental cleaning procedures
- Place IV catheters
- Perform blood draws
- Administer medications
- Nail trims and basic grooming duties
- Cleaning kennels and equipment
- Monitor hospitalized patients while following Doctors treatment plans
- Take X-Rays
- Gather patient history efficiently and accurately
- Create labels for medications prescribed by our veterinarians and ensure correct dosages are dispensed
- Perform tasks such as running fecal and urine samples to assist in diagnostic procedures.
- Uphold basic math skills for tasks such as medication counting
- Pay meticulous attention to detail when updating medical records
- Strong spelling skills are preferred
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- X-Ray certification
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Basic math knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to show compassion towards clients and their pets
- Willingness to go above and beyond to provide exceptional service
