Veterinary Support Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support the veterinarian in providing high-quality care to animals while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by holding animals and providing necessary tools and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including examination rooms, kennels, and surgical areas.
• Prepare animals for surgery by ensuring they are properly restrained and monitored.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.
• Provide support in kennel management including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals.

Skills

• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
