Orchard Farm School District is seeking a certified special education teacher to join our team at our new SOAR center for the 2025-2026 school year! The SOAR center (Student Oppotunity for Alternative Resources) will house our newly developed ACE (Alternative Course Experience) progam and the PASS (Positive Alternative to School Suspension).
Located in northeast St. Charles County, MO, the last decade of new developments such as Charlestowne and New Town, situated along Highway 370, have contributed significantly to the increased growth of enrollment and the community. Orchard Farm School District has a current enrollment of approximately 2.600 student across the 6 buildings including High School (9-12), Junior High (7-8), Middle School (5-6), two K-4 Elementary Schools, and the Early Learning Center. Orchard Farm has also been named a Top Workplace by staff since 2017.

Teachers are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree or higher
- Appropriate Missouri Teaching Certificate with special education endorsements
- Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations and law
- Knowledge of subject matter content and assessment strategies
- Knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction
- Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to follow written and oral communication
- Ability to problem solve
An individual who holds this position is required to:
- Provide instruction to students
- Create and implement a classroom disciplinary plan
- Create lesson plans and activities to implement and supplement instruction
- Participate in building, grade level and subject area committees
- Participate in professional development activities
- Maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades and discipline
- Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and other educational concerns
- Participate as a member of an IEP team, 504 team or other student assistance teams as requested
- Implement special educational plans such as 504 plans, individual educational programs and individual health plans
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination and harassments as directed by Board policy
- Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher
- Subject area teachers may have additional duties and responsibilities

SALARY SCHEDULE Salary is based from years of experience teaching and degree per OFSD policy and procedure. 2025-2026 salary schedule will be updated upon Board of Education approval.
