Duties

- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement in the classroom.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student independence and self-esteem.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and challenges.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education practices.
Requirements
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, particularly related to special education.
- Experience or familiarity with curriculum development, particularly for preschool or early childhood education settings.
- Understanding of various educational approaches, including Montessori methods and strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively within the classroom setting.
- Experience or coursework related to deaf education is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
