All Faiths Children’s Advocacy Center (AFCAC) is currently seeking a NM Home Study Supervisor to join our team and help children and families thrive! AFCAC are the only Children’s Advocacy Center in Albuquerque, working as trusted advocates for children and families affected by trauma.

Required:
- Current LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LMSW, LMHC or other license accepted by the state of New Mexico for the provision of counseling or social work.
- Three (3) years paid full-time experience in family evaluation and child development and behavior.
- Must have successfully completed SAFE or SAFE Refresher within the last three years.
- Must complete SAFE for Supervisor Training within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Must complete CYFD READi NM Pre-Services Training within thirty (30) days of hire date.
What will I do as a NM Home Study Supervisor with All Faiths?
The NM Home Study Supervisor oversees the provision of home studies and directly supervises NM Home Study Providers and NM Home Study Reviewers. The supervisor provides training for and oversight of NM Home Study Providers and NM Home Study Reviewers, as well as technical and clinical supervision for Pre-Placement Home Studies performed by NM Home Study Providers.
Technical and clinical supervision is conducted within the guidelines of SAFE, NM Child Placing Regulations and All Faith’s CQI, to ensure the safety and placement of children in appropriate homes that are good matches for both child and families. The objective is to ensure adoptive and resource families are in compliance with applicable regulations for placement of children.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities preferred to perform:
- Demonstrates skilled knowledge in SAFE evaluation and narration process, the use of SAFE Desk Guide and Rating Scale, and SAFE Mitigation Process.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication, and time management skills.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and effective critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity regarding individual and cultural diversity.
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, email, spell check and scan functions.
- Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual ability is a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries and/or complaints.
- Ability to exercise professional independent judgment.
- Ability to provide training and consultation regarding the following activities: Adoption and home studies; lead discussions, conceptualize well and communicate effectively;
- Supervisory Skills
- Ability to implement feedback and/or direction.
- Must possess valid Driver’s License and current automobile liability insurance.
- Must be able to drive to destinations within the state of New Mexico for work related tasks.
- Must pass clearance from CYFD Criminal Records Check, Sex Offender Registry & NM Courts.com
