The hours for this position are somewhat flexible. A minimum of 5 hours a month but would probably be 10-20 hours a month, this job is considered part-time and temporary. The family is there but needs support
This position cares for the child of the owner of All for Kids Home Health. You must be patient and good with children, reliable, on time and flexible. Must be willing to learn from different therapists to improve skills in feeding and pediatric care. Home is near i70 and Central Parkway. Patient/Family would prefer a male, however all applicants will be reviewed.
Job Summary:
Performs duties that consist of personal care and household tasks for patients/clients in their homes.
Level of Responsibility:
Works under the supervision of the Supervising Nurse and the Registered Nurse.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Performs duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse, including baths, oral hygiene, nail care,
foot care, skin care, bowel/bladder care, pressure relief, dressing patient, feeding and
transferring patient.
2. Performs household tasks related to patient's medical needs such as bed linen changes,5
patients laundry, light housekeeping, shopping, errands, etc.
3. Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight according to state
regulations.
4. Communicates any pertinent information about the patient/client’s condition and ongoing
needs in a timely fashion.
5. Documents all care and services provided according to professional standards and agency policy
and procedures.
6. Adheres to all agency policies and procedures.
7. Completes all mandatory agency training and in-service activities.
8. Participates in the agency’s quality management activities.
9. Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication and working relationships.
10. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety
11. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.
12. Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Completion of a program approved by the State for Home Health Aide or Certified Nurse Aide
training or equivalent.
2. Certified as a Certified Nurse Aide by the State of Colorado.
3. Previous experience in the home care industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of principles and procedures of personal care and safety practices in the home care
setting.
2. Ability to foster constructive and therapeutic relationships with patients/clients and their families.
3. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Special Requirements:
1. Current, valid license to practice as a Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Colorado (or other
compact state).
2. CPR certification.
3. Current, valid driver's license.
4. Access to a reliable automobile.
