What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at All Hands and Hearts?
Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. The position is full time and is responsible for managing field logistics, procuring and delivering materials, and supporting scheduling daily work for the construction team and volunteers. It also acts as a liaison between field and office teams to maintain a smooth workflow and ensure sites are ready for work.

Essential Functions
- Communicate with Project Manager, Construction Site Coordinator, Site Supervisors and/or Team Leads to determine site needs and logistics.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator and Project Manager to ensure there are sufficient volunteer numbers to meet the needs of the workflow and work queue.
- Procure and deliver materials to worksites utilizing a variety of vendors and tracking purchases and material usage on a per site basis.
- Call homeowners to walk through our Homeowner Prioritization Process so we understand the vulnerability of beneficiaries.
- With support of Project Manager, carry out in-home assessments.
- Schedule work dates with homeowners leading up to work on sites, and conduct follow up calls to capture feedback and satisfaction level of work completed.
- Determine and organize daily worksite logistics considering vehicles, phase of work, site size, etc.
- Maintain accurate tracking systems of worksite progress/completion and materials/tools in Salesforce and other databases.
- Organize and maintain tool warehouse and inventory.
- Provide support during work sites as needed.
- Ensure high quality of work performed by teams in the field
- We have decided to relax the requirement for Covid-19 vaccination for on program staff. While we still strongly recommend Covid-19 vaccination, along with other standard and travel immunizations as recommended by the CDC and WHO, Covid-19 vacation will no longer be required

Position Requirements
- Education High School diploma or equivalent
- Related Experience Previous All Hands and Hearts experience preferred. 1 years of experience with interior residential construction (framing, drywall, flooring, finish work) or similar disaster relief work. Experience in leading teams in a post disaster environment is preferred.
- Special Competencies/Certifications Valid driver’s license. Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Typical starting salary is $14 - $15 USD /hour, and up to $16 for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role.
