The Industrial Nylon Cutter will operate machinery that cuts industrial nylon materials into various sizes and shapes. This role ensures that nylon is precisely and safely cut according to production specifications to meet quality standards. The cutter must be familiar with the operation of cutting equipment, safety protocols, and quality control measures in a manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate industrial nylon cutting machines.
- Adjust machine settings, including pressure and speed, based on the material thickness and cutting requirements.
- Load rolls or sheets onto cutting machines.
- Inspect raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards and are free of defects.
- Cut nylon materials into predetermined sizes and shapes according to work orders or specifications.
- Regularly clean and maintain cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries, including wearing appropriate protective gear (e.g., gloves, safety glasses).
Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience operating industrial cutting machinery is preferred.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
- Knowledge or nylon materials and their properties is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
