Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help Desk Oversight: Work with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues for internal users.
- Device and Equipment Management:
- Oversee corporate laptop imaging using virtual machines.
- Manage office equipment, including routers, firewalls, monitors, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals.
- Ensure all hardware configurations meet security and performance standards.
- Mobile Device and MDM Management:
- Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems and integrate devices securely with company systems.
- Configure and secure mobile devices to protect organizational data.
- Application Deployment and Scripting:
- Prepare and deploy secure scripts for Mac and Windows devices to automate tasks such as installing or uninstalling applications.
- Create and maintain scripts for system management and troubleshooting.
- Website and File Hosting:
- Manage website hosting and ensure secure file hosting via FTP.
- Oversee WordPress updates and adhere to web security best practices.
- Network Administration:
- Maintain network configurations, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure reliable connectivity.
- Manage corporate firewalls and network security protocols.
- Security Management:
- Configure and monitor tools such as Cisco Umbrella and SentinelOne for virus detection and threat prevention.
- Proactively address system vulnerabilities and safeguard user and client data.
- Software and Single Sign-On Administration:
- Administer business-critical software systems and manage single sign-on (SSO) tools to streamline and secure access.
- MSP and Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with the Managed Service Provider to optimize help desk performance and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Inventory and Procurement:
- Maintain up-to-date company inventory and manage leases for IT assets.
- Evaluate equipment obsolescence and oversee procurement of new devices while adhering to security protocols.
- Office Technology Support:
- Manage office technology systems such as TVs, conference room equipment, and check scanning software.
- Ensure systems operate securely and reliably for all users.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain detailed records of system configurations, issue resolutions, and hardware inventory.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in IT operations, system administration, and network management.
- Proficiency with tools and systems including Cisco Umbrella, SentinelOne, and MDM platforms.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, FTP hosting, and Mac/Windows scripting.
- Familiarity with MSP management and IT service best practices.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a passion for exploring new technologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
