What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at All Meal Prep Kitchen & Cafe?
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced server to join our growing and innovative team! At All Meal Prep Kitchen and Cafe, the customer is number one. The person we are looking for is hospitable, friendly, quick on their feet and able to work well under pressure. We have a collaborative team culture and need someone who works well with others and works as a team to provide an excellent overall customer service experience for all guests.
The main duties of this position involve welcoming guests, taking orders, being quick on your feet, critical thinking, working in a fast paced environment, your ability to work within a team, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests, as well as following cleanliness and sanitation guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they come in and maintain and exceed customer service standards
- Provide consistent positive customer service
- Operate POS system properly and follow cash handling procedures and protocols
- Maintain health and safety protocols per standard operating processes
- Memorize food and drink menu and present in an informative way
- Set and buss tables, as well as run food to tables throughout each shift
- Jump in to serve customers where needed (collaborative, team effort each shift)
- Ensure stockage, cleanliness, and order in all dining/service areas
- Perform barista duties and making various coffee drinks
- Complete all closing and general duties assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous work experience as a server, and/or experience within a fine dining environment
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt
- Obtain customer service, social and communication skills along with the professionalism to match
- Sincere desire to exceed guest expectations
- Paying attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Experience in a fast paced environment, and maintain that speed without diminishing quality by maintaining composure
- Hands-on experience with POS system
- Ability to work flexible and sometimes long hours
- Must be able to acquire (or have) a food handlers and basset card
- Must be at least proficient in English, written and spoken.
- Knowledge and practice of sanitation and cleanliness regulations
Physical Demands:
- Frequent bending, kneeling and reaching
- Ability to stand long periods of time and carry up to 50 pounds
