Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Case Management in the execution of various case management functions
- Oversee the processes related to utilization management and discharge planning
- Assess and evaluate the quality of care and services rendered
- Coordinate and manage resources to ensure optimal patient care
- Participate in the annual review of the Case Management/Utilization Management Plan
- Ensure accountability 24⁄7 with standard business hours during the week
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration
- In-depth knowledge of resource management and utilization practices
- Familiarity with Medicare and government payer regulations
- Understanding of quality control and process improvement activities related to utilization management
- Valid Registered Nurse license in California or holding a Compact/Multi-State RN License
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution preferred; a Master’s degree is a bonus
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in an acute care environment is required
- 1 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Preference for candidates with acute care case management experience in a hospital setting
