Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Analytical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Operations Department, you will be responsible for providing general support functions.
Your primary duties will include:
- Specimen Processing: Identify problems with specimen types, missing information, and resolve or forward information to ensure timely problem resolution.
- Compliance Policies: Develop an understanding of compliance policies related to test ordering and demonstrate the ability to research test order information on translation tables, computer systems, and the directory of services.
- Quality Standards: Meet quality and production standards within 6 months of completing training and maintain accurate and legible written documentation.
- Communication Skills: Report to work on time, follow attendance guidelines, and support the department's performance in the event of coworker absences.
Requirements
- Educational Background: High School Diploma or GED is required; medical background preferred.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with mainframe computer operating systems and minimal data entry skills.
- Prioritization and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to change and pursue continuous improvement.
