Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival to the Emergency Room.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusions and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Utilize aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within a teaching hospital environment to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with hospital policies.
• Support patients with disabilities by adapting care plans to meet their unique needs.
• Engage in family planning discussions when appropriate, providing resources and referrals as needed.
• Offer specialized care for toddlers and young children presenting in the Emergency Room.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Previous experience in an Emergency Room or critical care setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
