Start Date : As soon as possible
Schedule : Flexible day and night shifts
Days : 6 : 30 AM - 6 : 30 PM
Nights : 6 : 30 PM - 6 : 30 AM
Shifts : 24-30 shifts per month
Practice Setting : Emergency Department
Types of Cases : General emergency medicine with required procedures, including intubation, chest tubes, and central lines
of Patients per Hour : 1.6 patients per hour
Ages : Pediatric to Adult
EMR : MedHost
Requirements :
ACLS, ATLS, PALS (current and without lapse)
COVID vaccination or exemption required
Other :
No APC or scribe coverage
Admitting orders handled by the HM provider except from 2 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 AM, when the ED physician takes responsibility
Annual patient volume averages 37 patients per day (YTD)
ED Bed Count : 21
Codes are responded to by Hospital Medicine (HM) until 5 : 00 PM, after which the EM physician takes over. Between 2 : 00 AM and 7 : 00 AM, the EM physician handles calls and codes on the floor.
