Position: Cytotechnician
A skilled professional is sought to maintain daily records of slides screened and hours worked at the laboratory, adhering to established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain open communication with department supervisor, pathologist, and coworkers to ensure optimal department operation.
- Provide technical consultation for Cyto-processing technicians and assist in prep work as directed by Supervisor.
- Stay up-to-date with continuing education and maintain high proficiency through ongoing training.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory agency requirements.
- Sustain corporate policies, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control protocols.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of recent Cyto Tech experience.
- Cerner or EPIC experience preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in cytotechnology or a biological science, plus graduation from an accredited school.
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Certification desired.
- Demonstrate exceptional professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
