Duties and Responsibilities
Primary:
- Perform day-to-day processing of financial transactions to ensure that Company finances are maintained in an effective, up-to-date and accurate manner.
- Perform collection activities to maximize cash receipts.
- Issue credit hold notifications.
- Communicate with internal Billing and Account Managers as necessary to complete job duties.
- Post and reconcile customer payments to general ledger.
- Maintain accurate records about the customer payment status.
- Post A/R entries to the general ledger.
- Review all credit balances, refunds and adjustments, and apply adjustments and/or corrections to corporate billing records.
- Balance daily A/R batches.
- Play a key role in the month-end financial close process by preparing, reviewing and analyzing accounting entries and account reconciliations.
- Research and analyze transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve differences.
- Responsible for more complex accounting areas requiring precision and judgement, including ensuring accuracy of valuation, reserve calculations, and estimates.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reporting as well as support the audit process.
- Ensure accounting practices are in compliance with US GAAP and company policy.
- Maintain effective internal controls, identify risks and related control changes.
- Participate on company projects and initiatives.
- Partner with accounting team and business department owners to understand the key financial drivers and variances, support planning efforts and provide decision support analysis.
- Establish effective relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Must be reliable, accurate and trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems, specifically Sage 300.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and vendors.
Working Conditions
- Senior Accountant works most of the time in an office environment.
- Senior Accountant may be required to work some overtime to fulfill duties.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to type using the keyboard of a computer. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone.
Salary : $68,640
