Position Overview

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Team Lead & Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will oversee moving operations, lead crew members, drive company vehicles, and ensure superior customer satisfaction. This role requires a problem-solver with exceptional customer service skills who can manage both the logistical and interpersonal aspects of the moving process.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary driver for company moving vehicles, ensuring safe and timely transportation of client belongings
• Lead and supervise moving crews during residential and commercial relocations
• Conduct pre-move assessments and planning to ensure efficient execution
• Properly load, secure, and unload furniture and belongings using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Train and mentor new team members on proper moving procedures and company standards
• Manage client relationships on-site, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Complete accurate documentation including inventory lists, condition reports, and service agreements
• Coordinate with dispatch and management regarding schedule changes or unexpected challenges
• Maintain vehicles and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly
• Enforce safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required (CDL preferred but not required)
• 2 years of professional moving experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Excellent driving skills with experience operating box trucks and moving vehicles
• Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising teams
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (regularly lifting 50 lbs)
• Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Reliable transportation to report to our headquarters
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Background check and drug screening required

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time position (40 hours per week)
• Some evening and weekend availability required
