Summit Bodyworks, a premier builder of tool trucks, mobile libraries, mobile medical and other specialty vehicles has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Truck Body Assembler. Every truck we build is customized from the chassis up; we build our vehicles to suit the needs and desires of our diverse customer base, from fortune 100 companies to independent owner operators. Our Install Technicians are responsible for installing subwalls, floors, ceilings, cabinetry, electrical and HVAC components on a variety of vehicle types and sizes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Prewire builds to ECAD specifications
Install floors, walls, ceilings and other cabinetry from MCAD drawings
Install HVAC components
Complete final electrical connections
Use various hand and power tools to complete a variety of upfit tasks
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Maintain and wear all required personal protective safety equipment
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES :
Frequent mobility and / or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged / extended periods.
Requires lifting up to 75 pounds frequently.
Requires stretching to reach items up to 75 pounds.
Requires working confined spaces.
Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
Occasionally works at heights using ladder or mechanical lift.
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity.
Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
Requires working in a fast paced environment.
Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.
Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations.
Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :
High School diploma or equivalent.
Use and knowledge of hand tools (drills, impacts, bits, hand saws, etc)
Use of power tools (table saw, router, bandsaw, drill press, etc)
Ability to read and use a SAE tape measure
Understanding of MHVAC, MCAD and ECAD drawing
Ability to adapt in a changing environment
Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening
