Trading System Performance Engineer
All Options is expanding, and we're looking for a Trading System Performance Engineer to join our Austin trading support team! Role & Responsibilities:
As a Trading System Performance Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our real-time trading environment. You'll be responsible for system monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration management, and process automation to drive continuous improvement. Working closely with traders, developers, and exchanges, you’ll ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
Key responsibilities:
· Monitor and troubleshoot the trading systems to ensure optimal performance.
· Respond to and resolve trading-related requests, minimizing downtime.
· Implement system changes, coordinate upgrades, and manage third-party communication.
· Identify and implement improvements to daily operational processes.
· Develop and maintain automated tools for performance monitoring.
· Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation for system support.
Your Profile:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
· Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
· Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Linux OS
· Knowledge and experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, KX KDB, and Redis
· Interest in and understanding of financial markets
· Availability to work onsite during trading hours (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
· Experience in IT customer support and a demonstrated willingness to assist end users is a plus
· Familiarity with trading systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Tbricks) is an advantage
· Ability to take action within existing rules and procedures while taking responsibility for outcomes
