Dance Teacher/Choreographer

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, and experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting. This role involves educating young students in the art of dance while fostering a positive and encouraging environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.

Duties

• Teach dance classes to preschool-aged children, focusing on foundational techniques and movement.
• Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Create a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Educate students about the importance of dance as an art form and its benefits for physical and emotional development.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student development and address any concerns.
• Organize and participate in recitals or performances to showcase students' progress.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of various dance styles, with an emphasis on ballet.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or childcare environment.
• Ability to educate and inspire young students through creative teaching methods.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for teaching dance.
• Background in early childhood education is a plus but not required.
• Culinary skills are considered a nice-to-have for potential integration into themed classes or events.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week
