DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:
All Points is seeking a dedicated cleared Help Desk Technician to join our team at Dyess AFB, in Abilene, TX.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support for the Logistics Information System in sortie generation and integrate with Maintenance Information Systems operations at base level.
- Provide end user support of the eTools (mobile devices, handheld devices, laptops, and computers) and Logistics Information System server environment within the Logistics community.
- Provide technical administration and operational monitoring of these eTools and servers strategic level program support.
- Provide technical support at on-site installations without dedicated staff support
- Provide technical administration and operational monitoring of eTools and Logistics Information System
- Manage government approved mobile devices, laptops, and computers (wired, or wireless) for Logistics functions. Perform equipment installations, peripheral connections, installation, and deletion of software consistent with standard configurations and/or established policies.
- Performs system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications.
- Detects system, network, and application anomalies; resolves and/or escalates matters of significance in order to reduce the impact to global customers and maximize system availability.
- Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting network performance, e.g., OS WS 2019 or higher
- Provide minor software and hardware maintenance, such as board replacement and/or upgrading components and installing software updates and patches. Replacement parts will be provided by the Government at Government expense or through warranty programs.
- Implement network security policies and procedures for Logistics functions equipment by base or higher computer support agencies and organization’s Computer Systems Security Officers.
- Enter trouble ticket items to include problem resolutions, date/time problem reported, date/time problem fixed, and recommendations into United States government system (Remedy).
- Ensures all Logistics eTools and servers (hardware and software) comply with Air Force and DoD Information Assurance security standards.
- Prepare, document, manage, and maintain required user access documents (i.e. laptop agreements, mobile device agreements, information assurance training)
- Plan, operate and maintain backup system for Logistics Information System servers and eTools using industry standards or higher.
- Track and manage government furnished equipment designated by Air Mobility Command and in accordance with all applicable Air Mobility Command, USAF and DoD instructions, policies, and guidelines.
- High School diploma and 3-5 years of specialized experience.
- 3-5 Years
- Must possess a U.S. Secret Clearance
- Information Assurance Technical Level II Certification (Security OR Sec CE)
- Computing Environment and Operating System Certification for Server software management.
- Experience with creating and managing desktop/laptop images
- Knowledge of general hardware and software maintenance and configuration, trouble ticket database configuration, general clerical procedures, and experience in office management is desirable.
- Previous flight line experience
- Supervisory experience
- United States Citizenship Required
- Active, current, and fully adjudicated (no interim) US DoD Secret Clearance.
