Job Title: Director of Nursing (Long-Term Care)

Position Overview:
This role involves advising management, staff, and the CEO on nursing-related matters, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with Tenet standards. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the organizational structure, meeting performance targets, and fostering a positive care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership for daily operations, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Supervise nursing managers and offer clear direction.
- Conduct daily rounds with residents, families, and staff.
- Coordinate emergency responses effectively and efficiently.
- Prepare annual operational and capital budgets.
- Attend care conferences and monitor resident needs.
- Participate in meetings to achieve performance goals.
- Maintain regular communication with the medical director and staff physicians.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Build community relations by marketing the facility monthly.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Current RN license and CPR certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or acute care setting.
- At least 3 years of nurse management or leadership experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), kneeling, and crouching.
- Frequent computer use in an office environment.
