The State Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to join our Buffalo, NY team. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee $25M in union electrical construction projects, manage estimating and project teams, and play a key role in the successful execution of heavy industrial projects. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the electrical estimating and project management team.
Oversee multi-trade construction projects from planning to execution.
Supervise senior project managers and estimators.
Interface with clients and contractors to build strong relationships.
Review bids, manage costs, and lead risk mitigation.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and ISO9001:2015 standards.
Travel occasionally for pre-bid and construction meetings.
Qualifications
10 years of project management/estimating experience in construction.
Proven leadership in heavy industrial electrical projects.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing projects of various sizes, from service to turnkey.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to identify and manage project cost uncertainties.
