Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to oversee and manage inventory processes for a high-volume, small-part program on a contractor site in Piedmont, SC. This role requires meticulous attention to data and an analytical mindset to ensure continuous improvement. You will be responsible for tracking materials used by contractors for Wi-Fi cable installations and fiber burial, including splitters, construction materials, vaults, and markers.
This is a hands-on role, not in a typical warehouse environment but on a contractor site that includes buildings and small warehouses with dock doors.
Key Responsibilities :
Verify stock information and unit identification numbers.
Inventory and audit equipment and parts.
Unpackage, sort, and stage units for production.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Perform cycle counts and audits per company policies and procedures.
Label and organize inventory for easy access.
Ensure materials are placed correctly and efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements :
Ability to prioritize workflow and manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods.
Flexible schedule availability.
Basic computer skills; proficiency with Excel is a plus.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Skills :
Prior experience in inventory management or related roles.
Familiarity with contractor sites and material tracking processes.
