About the Role:

As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner. Your primary responsibility will be to transport goods from our store to various locations, adhering to scheduled delivery times using a company provided vehicle. You will be expected to navigate routes effectively, ensuring that all deliveries are made safely and accurately. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as you will be the face of our company during each delivery. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our operations. This position will also be responsible for assisting store staff with unloading delivery of inventory items from trucks into the showroom floor as well as minor assembly of mowers and handheld equipment for display or delivery and some other non-sales related store duties. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8-5.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items
• HS Diploma
• Ability or willingness to learn how to successfully operate zero turn mowers and riding mowers.
• All Pro is a drug free workplace and all employees must pass a drug test before hiring.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in route delivery or logistics.
• Familiarity with using GPS and map-reading skills.
• Some knowledge of lawn care equipment and its uses.
• Customer service skills such as communication over telephone and face to face.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including pickup trucks and trailers, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Operate riding mowers to load and unload from delivery trailers.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload products, ensuring that items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues or delays to the management team.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries and addressing any concerns.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of mowers and handheld lawn care equipment for the store and customers.
• Assemble mowers and handheld equipment upon delivery to store.
• Assist store staff as needed with annual parts inventory each fall.
• Other non-sales related store duties such as cleaning, stocking or compacting cardboard.

Lifting and carrying heavy weights is a regular part of the job, as you will be responsible for loading and unloading goods. Working in a fast-paced environment requires you to stay organized and focused, especially during peak delivery times. Being team-oriented will enhance collaboration with colleagues and improve overall service delivery.
