Are you a licensed mental health professional with leadership experience and a passion for helping youth in crisis? We are seeking a Director to lead the Home-Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) program, a short-term, intensive in-home service aimed at preventing psychiatric hospitalizations for children and adolescents (ages 5-20) in Broome County.
About the Program:
HBCI provides therapeutic interventions, skills training, and family support to stabilize crisis situations and empower families to manage future challenges.
Position Overview:
The Director will lead a team of four Interventionists, oversee daily program operations, and ensure compliance with NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations. This role involves supervision, program development, budget management, and community collaboration to enhance service access and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & supervise a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical oversight and professional development
- Ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, and family-centered care
- Monitor program outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage budgets & resources while ensuring compliance with NYS OMH regulation
- Collaborate with schools, hospitals, and community partners to facilitate referrals and strengthen partnerships
- Represent the program at leadership meetings, community events, and stakeholder discussions
Qualifications:
- NYS Mental Health License Required – LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience working with youth and families
- Valid Driver’s License
