Job Title: Lower School Second Grade Teacher  

 

Job Description  

All Saints' Episcopal School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Second Grade Teacher for our Lower School. The ideal candidate will create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment, focusing on the academic, social, and emotional growth of second-grade students. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a supportive educational community. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Plan, organize, and deliver an age-appropriate and challenging curriculum for second-grade students in accordance with school guidelines and educational standards. 

  • Provide effective instruction in various subjects, including mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies, while differentiating to meet diverse learning needs. 

  • Establish and maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and active participation. 

  • Assess and monitor students' progress and academic growth, providing regular feedback to students and parents. 

  • Identify students who may require additional support and work with the appropriate resources to address their needs. 

  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents to keep them informed about classroom activities, student progress, and school events. 

  • Promote character development, values, and ethical behavior through classroom activities and interactions. 

  • Participate in or lead extracurricular activities, school events, and field trips that enhance the overall educational experience. 

Qualifications


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 

  • Teaching certification. 

  • Previous experience teaching second grade or elementary-level students. 

  • Strong understanding of child development, early literacy, and numeracy. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
