Summary
Clintondale Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead and develop our middle school track program. The coach will be responsible for creating a positive team culture, teaching fundamental and advanced softball skills, and fostering academic and athletic growth for student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee all team practices, conditioning, and training sessions.
- Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
- Teach and promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership.
- Ensure the academic success and eligibility of all team members.
- Maintain communication with parents, players, and school administration.
- Coordinate schedules, transportation, equipment needs, and compile an inventory list at the end of the season
- Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state athletic policies.
- Work with the Middle School Softball Coach to develop younger athletes
- Rate Officials as required by the MHSAA.
- Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching or playing experience in softball (preferably at the high school level or higher).
- Knowledge of softball techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop young athletes.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
COMPENSATION
The compensation is outlined in the CEA collective bargaining master agreement 2022-2024.
