Job Title: Window, Door, Siding, and Decking Installer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Window, Door, Siding, and Decking Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining windows, doors, siding, and decks for residential and commercial properties. This position requires a solid understanding of construction techniques, excellent craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Window and Door Installation:
Measure, cut, and install windows and doors according to blueprints or specifications.
Install framing, weatherproofing, and sealing around windows and doors.
Ensure proper operation of windows and doors, including locks, hinges, and weather stripping.
Perform repairs and replacements as needed.
Install interior and exterior trim with attention to detail.
Knowledge of how to use an aluminum brake is a bonus.
Siding Installation:
Install various types of siding, including vinyl, wood, fiber cement, and metal.
Apply insulation or underlayment as required before installing siding.
Ensure siding is securely fastened, level, and properly aligned.
Cut and trim siding to fit around windows, doors, and corners.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of existing siding.
Decking Installation:
Build and install decks and patios, including foundations, framing, and decking materials.
Measure, cut, and place decking boards, ensuring they are securely fastened.
Install railings, stairs, and other deck accessories according to design specifications.
Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance on decks as required.
General Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure timely project completion.
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction with the finished product.
Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in window, door, siding, and decking installation is not required but preferred.
Strong knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and installation techniques.
Proficient in using hand and power tools (e.g., saws, drills, hammers, levels).
Basic carpentry skills and understanding of framing, structural integrity, and finishes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in carpentry or construction is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
Comfortable working in various weather conditions (hot, cold, rainy, etc.).
Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
