Job Summary:
The Batch Weigher/Pre-Weigh is a key member of our Blends team, performing primarily food ingredient weighing and tracking tasks to support combining dry ingredients per formula specification in various industrial mixers. They are assisting in the creation of our custom spice blends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Separate bulk ingredients into batches according to production schedule and batch formula
- Manually weigh ingredients per recipe specification/batch formulation
- Ensure lot numbers and ingredients are properly recorded and tracked
- Operate various industrial machinery such as mixers
- Operate various electronic devices such as computers, tablets, and scanners
- Cross-train and switch between multiple workstations in the mixing area
- Operate motorized forklift and pallet jacks to move bulk product as well as blended product throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment by properly disposing of waste materials, sweeping floors, and removing trash on a daily basis.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to read and interpret recipes, weights & measures.
- Must have the judgement to plan, perform and follow the sequence of steps and operate within standard methods and procedures
- Maintain integrity of highly sensitive/confidential information
Experience, Education and Training
- High school diploma/GED required
- Food & Beverage or perishable goods industry experience highly desirable.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is subject to the following requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stack, and/or carry bulk quantities of dried ingredients (both boxed and bagged)
- Must be able to repeatedly lift at shoulder-height while manually weighing product out
- Required to push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable in a warm working environment
- Strong aromas of spice, allergens, and particulates in the air.
