Job Summary:
The Receiving Clerk will be primarily responsible for incoming shipments, paperwork, skid tagging, zoning maintenance, product inventory movement, and logs. Conducts cycle counts on raw materials and finished goods for accurate inventory, and rotates pallets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for conducting Company cycle counts
- May direct incoming shipments which include the loading-trucks, accepting UPS shipments, checking in shipments, and processing all documents as a result of product receipts
- Inspecting shipments and product returns, and notify the Quality Control Manager & Warehouse Manager of inconsistencies
- Responsibilities in logging shipments include recording tracking numbers, shipment staging, and updating inventory through receiving processes
- Responsible for tagging all skids with product name, lot numbers, and dates
- Stages incoming & outbound shipments wrap pallets, moves product as needed
- Will assist in rear entrance security
- Responsible for the cleanliness & organization of the Receiving Zone
- Performs other reasonably related duties as required
- Unloading delivery shipments and storing products
- Verifying inventory by comparing the number of items in a shipment to the shipping invoice
- Inspecting shipments by checking for damage or other issues
- Updating product inventory in the database
- Communicating with drivers and suppliers to monitor the location of items
- Tracking shipments and labeling items within the warehouse

- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -
- Must have prior knowledge and experience of shipping/receiving, inventory operations of like industry work, power lift & forklift experience, and may have warehouse experience
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Great communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
- Ability to work on Saturday occasionally, and any other days and hours as deemed necessary for business and requested by direct supervisor
Experience, Education, and Training -
- Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered
- 1-2 years experience in a warehouse/manufacturing - like position that includes cycle counts, inventory procedures, and warehouse/ shipping or receiving work
- Prior Fork Lift Certification a plus-will certify on site
- Clean, valid & current NYS Drivers License
