Job Overview
All Seasons Veterinary is seeking a compassionate, professional, and organized Veterinary Hospital Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, the ideal candidate will be able to provide exceptional customer service, manage administrative tasks, and assist our veterinary team in creating a positive and caring experience for pets and their owners. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient intake.
- Manage client records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Process payments, billing, and insurance claims.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining medical files and treatment records.
- Communicate effectively with clients about their pets' care and provide information on services, procedures, and pricing.
- Coordinate with the veterinary team to ensure smooth patient flow and timely appointments.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle client inquiries and concerns, providing solutions or escalating issues as needed.
- Process and manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office management or veterinary technology is a plus.
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
- Proficiency in basic office equipment (e.g., phone systems, copier, scanner).
- Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
