Job Summary:
All Service Moving, a leading moving company, is seeking a Lube Technician/Mechanic Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in keeping our fleet of trucks in top condition by performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. Work will be performed in secure lots at both our Portland and Beaverton locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain fluid levels in company trucks.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts ordered.
- Communicate with Fleet Operations and drivers regarding vehicle defects and necessary repairs.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Respond to service calls (company vehicle provided).
- Repair and replace parts as needed to maintain engine performance.
- Perform engine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and assist with annual inspections.
- Complete additional tasks and repairs as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- 2 years of diesel engine maintenance experience.
- 2 years of lube technician experience.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Experience using necessary tools for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Work Environment:
- Work will be conducted outdoors in secure lots at our Portland and Beaverton locations.
- We do not have an indoor shop, so the ability to work in various weather conditions is required.
