Overview
We are seeking a motivated Hygiene/Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the hygienist and dentist during various procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist the hygienist and dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage pediatric patients with patience and understanding, ensuring a comfortable experience.
- Assist in various general dental specialties.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the practice.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental assistant or hygiene assistant preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive and team-oriented attitude.
