We currently have a career opportunity for a caring, purpose-driven Orthodontic Assistant who will take great pride in creating truly extraordinary patient experiences while delivering the highest quality dental care.
The Orthodontic Assistant's primary focus is to perform different orthodontic procedures with the doctor which includes prepping the patients, assisting the Orthodontist, and closing all chairside procedures, all while creating a comfortable environment for the patient. The Orthodontic Assistant will be responsible for knowing our policies and procedures to provide patients and families with orthodontic care instructions and dental health education. The Orthodontic Assistant also completes diagnostic records on patients and keeps tools and work areas sterilized at all times.
- Prepare patients for procedures, assist Orthodontist during procedures, and finish patients' appointments.
- Be prepared for each procedure by reviewing patient notes to know what procedures will be done and what instruments will be needed.
- Provide patients and families with proper orthodontic care instructions, dental health education and diet recommendations.
- Help patients and parents feel comfortable at each visit.
- Communicate patients' treatment needs to appropriate clinic staff.
- Maintain a clean work area near the sterilization area, x-ray machines and all workstations.
- Set up trays for appointments.
- Complete diagnostic records including photos, Panorex x-rays, Ceph x-rays.
- Complete ITero scans for Invisalign, Herbst appliances, expanders, and stint models.
Position Details:
- Pay Range $18 - $22, based on experience
- Complete Benefit Package
- Part Time, 2 - 3 Days/Week
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- 7:30AM - 5:00PM
- NO evenings, NO holidays
- Locations: New Port Richey and Palm Harbor
- Must be willing & able to work in both locations

Requirements:
- Previous dental experience would be helpful, but a great attitude and a strong work ethic are our first priorities
- X-Ray Certification, preferred (Must have Expanded Duties Certificate and/or Radiography Certification upon hire or within ninety (90) days after hire)
- Dental Certification (EFDA, DAII, CDA, or COA), preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Someone who likes to work with patients of all ages
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Organization and time management skills
- Works well independently and in a team environment
