What are the responsibilities and job description for the Road Test Examiner (Training) position at All Star Driver Education?
Want to become a road test examiner and work with the leading Driver Education Company in the Mid West? We are looking for candidates who can service one or more of these Michigan locations: Alpena, Branch, Cass, Clare, Eaton, Genesee, Grand Traverse, Hillsdale, Huron, Iosco, Kalamazoo, Lapeer, Manistee, Oakland, Sanilac, St. Clair, St. Joseph, Tuscola, Van Buren, Wayne
STATE TRAINING
Training will take place over a 5 day period (8am-5pm) at the Department’s Office in Lansing, MI. During the training, examiner candidates will learn the information and procedures needed to administer the department’s automobile skills test.
You will be required to prepare and study information before the training and will have homework to complete during the training. After successful completion of the training class, new examiners will need to satisfactorily complete a minimum of five directly supervised and documented driving skills tests.
If the review is satisfactory, the new examiner will be given a 12-month conditional approval to administer tests and issue skills tests certificates on their own. After conducting testing on a conditional approval for a minimum of 12 months, the Department will review the performance of the examiner and approvals will either be terminated or made open-ended after the review. We are of course here to help you during this entire process and to make sure you are successful!

Process
- Once you apply our recruitment team will setup interviews with our team
- On being selected, All Star will work with you to submit your documents to the state
- You will be required to attend and successfully complete the training in Lansing, MI in one of the following training sessions: April 11-15, May 9-13, June 13-17 or July 18-22. All Star will pay for hotel and food expense during this training IF OVERNIGHT STAY IS NECESSARY!
- Examiner candidates are also subject to evaluations of their testing skills, including observations of testing as required by State
