Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operator

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and possess a valid commercial driver's license with a clean record. This is a physically demanding position that requires the ability to lift, pull, and maneuver heavy equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for towing and transporting vehicles to and from our facility, and will be expected to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

**Duties:**

- Operate a tow truck and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently

- Load and unload vehicles onto and from the tow truck

- Conduct basic automotive repairs, including changing tires and jump-starting batteries

- Perform routine maintenance checks on the tow truck and other equipment

- Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair any issues with the tow truck or other equipment

- Transport vehicles to and from our facility, ensuring they are properly secured and transported safely

- Manage conflicts and interact effectively with customers in a professional manner

- Operate a forklift as needed

- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency calls

**Qualifications:**

- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean record

- Experience operating a tow truck or similar heavy equipment

- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and automotive diagnostics

- Ability to lift, pull, and maneuver heavy equipment

- Experience with manual transmission vehicles

- Strong conflict management skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the job safely and efficiently

- High school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
