Job Title: Softball Instructor
At All-Star Sports Academy (ASSA) we deliver impact through our mission – “Inspiring and mentoring young athletes to become successful individuals – one game, one lesson, and one player at a time.”
All-Star Sports Academy Instructors are the face of our daily programming. Instructors primarily perform 1:1 instruction with ASSA athletes. Additionally, Instructors are responsible for supporting additional programs, such as camps, clinics, and teams as directed by the general manager. Instructors must develop and manage their book of athletes and perform other business development activities. Finally, instructors must be willing to learn and deliver the All-Star Sports Academy curriculum positively and encouragingly. This is a full-time nonexempt role who reports to their respective general manager. This is an exempt role that reports to the General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Primary focus on performing 1:1 lessons
• Support and run programs with multiple players as directed by General Manager (Camps, Clinics, Teams)
• Deliver excellent service with a strong focus on hospitality and positive energy
• Develop and manage a book of athletes with a focus on long-term player development relationships
• Continuously learn the All-Star Sports Academy curriculum
• Interact with youth athletes and their families with a focus on excellent customer service
• Assist training center in overall business development goals
• Assist in training center cleanliness and maintenance
• Assist in training center set-up for programs, camps, clinics, team practices, and lessons
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required
• Coaching, teaching, or instructing experience preferred
• Experience working with youth athletes or developing child to adolescent age groups
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive, energetic attitude
• Customer-oriented
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Strong desire to succeed
• Team-oriented
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time.
