Overview
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring that all desktop systems and applications are functioning efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of operating systems, technical troubleshooting, and effective communication skills to assist users with their IT needs.
Purpose
Assist the IT manager in the daily administration task associated with hardware and software issues as well as assist in coordination of long term projects relates to companies network infrastructure as well as software development.
Responsibilities
· Monitor helpdesk system and assist users with requests.
· Purchase and setup new computers and desktop phones
· Setup new users and assist with initial logins and basic network navigation such as the use of shared drives and printers.
· Assist users with email issues in Proofpoint
· Manage Proofpoint spam education campaigns
· Manage the creation of customer and internal labels.
· Evaluate new software on an ongoing process.
· Maintain physical inventory of IT equipment as well as maintaining storage room for equipment.
· Assist users with desktop and network issues providing first level support.
· Create reports Prophet 21 reports in Excel
· Other assigned tasks as needed.
Education and Experience
- Must have high school diploma and have at least sophomore status in a BS or AS program in Hardware or Software discipline.
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
