What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Systems Inspector (Sprinkler, Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression) position at All State Fire & Security?

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA codes, local building codes, and company standards.
- Evaluate the functionality of fire safety equipment, including smoke detectors, control panels, extinguishers, sprinkler heads, valves, piping, and water flow alarms.
- Identify and document any deficiencies, hazards, or code violations during inspections and assist clients with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing schedules, and reports using electronic or paper documentation systems.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely completion of inspections and repairs.
- Stay current on relevant fire safety codes, technology advancements, and industry best practices.
- Provide education and guidance to facility owners and managers about system maintenance, testing requirements, and fire safety procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls related to fire protection systems.
- Assist in system installations, upgrades, or retrofits as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inspecting fire suppression systems, fire alarm systems, and sprinkler systems (3-5 years preferred).
- Knowledge of NFPA codes, IBC (International Building Code), IFC (International Fire Code), and OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with fire sprinkler system types (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge) and fire suppression systems
- Ability to use testing equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and smoke testers effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong customer service skills (communication, problem solving, and reactivity).
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments.
- Certifications such as NICET or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to adhere to daily and weekly routes.
Anticipated Wage: $23-$40/hour depending on skills and experience
