Job Title: Warehouse - Lead
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Leads and directs the work of staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinates, trains and monitors performance of staff. Provides organization, instruction, guidance and communication.
- Prepares employees for daily operations, i.e., walking areas to facilitate direction from Supervisor/Manager for completion dates according to Inbound schedules. Ensures that work materials are present when needed.
- Coordinates warehouse & QC staff for inbound container processing.
- Generates QC inspection packets for each container.
- Verifies count for all in bound containers.
- Plans, assigns and directs the work to team members based on priority needs.
- Provides specific directions/procedures to follow in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Ensures that all workers have protective gear (PPE), evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality.
- Ensures daily document control is being completed properly. Provides a copy of such documents to manager for sign off as needed.
- Assists in trouble shooting and provides solutions to problems found.
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Serves as a “Role Model” to employees exhibiting professional communication skills, humility, courtesy, safety and respect to everyone at all times.
- Effectively motivates/engages employees while still providing critical/constructive feedback.
- Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures, wears task appropriate PPE.
- Identifies opportunities for improvements and submits recommendations in accordance with Continuous Improvement Program.
- Maintains accurate records.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Complies with the requirements of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position leads employees within the department/division.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend and kneel on a regular basis.
- Regular manual dexterity/coordination: hand/eye movements, motor control.
- Regular visual effort: concentrated reading of documentation or close viewing of computer displays.
- Work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
- Able to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs. on an occasional basis.
Required Education/Experience/Skills
- High School graduate or GED, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years industrial experience within areas of responsibility.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Comfortable with computers.
- Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions;
- Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures;
- Ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently;
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
- Capable of operating cranes/hoists, hand, power and specialized tools pertinent to area of responsibility with minimal supervision.
- Ability to drive a fork lift.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Advanced technical or college training preferred, with studies focused on metal fabrication/ machining and welding equipment.
Certifications, Licensees or Registrations Required/Preferred
- Forklift Operation Certification desired.
