Summary

The Warehouse Manager will possess strong organizational and leadership skills, ensuring that the warehouse functions smoothly, and inventory is managed accurately. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, optimizing warehouse processes, and coordinating the activities of warehouse staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enforces proper operational and safety policies / procedures at all times.
  • Oversees receiving of new parts; ensure integrity of inventory levels in SAP; coordinate storage of parts in an organized manner.
  • Monitors customer returns of cores; store in an orderly manner until transfer to rebuil.d
  • Manages customer parts returns; inspect for use / damage; ensure return to supplier.
  • Oversees shipment of parts to customers and / or ASAP stores; ensure proper packaging and utilization of shipping carriers to achieve cost-effective freigh.
  • Coordinates with Inventory Control Coordinators. to ensure cycle counts on inventory, discrepancies are investigated and corrected in SAP, and root cause analysis done to mitigate repeat occurrences.
  • Prioritizes employee work assignments and monitor time cards for attendance and proper recording of work hours; approve vacation.
  • Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse to company standards.
  • Achieves or exceeds all K.P.I. (Key Productivity Indicator) metrics while maintaining cost at or below budget.
  • Ensures orders are processed in accordance with Quality and Sales requirements.
  • Ensures Shipping Team Members pull orders for daily shipments
  • Ensures Shipping Team Members verify order items against pick list to ensure proper items are pulled for shipment.
  • Ensures Shipping Team Members evaluate Quality of product …cosmetics, cleanliness, condition of paint and take action when required...
  • Develops / monitors processes to ensure correct paperwork is attached to each order.
  • Monitors loading of trucks…may load as well.
  • Assists receiving department when required.
  • Performs inventory related tasks as directed…cycle counts or investigations.
  • Notifies Manager of any discrepancies to inventory.
  • Recruits, hires, and onboards high performing individuals that adhere to the organization’s standards.
  • Coordinates, trains, and monitors the performance of management and staff through training programs, frequent feedback, regular performance reviews, and exceptional communication skills.
  • Investigates and resolves service / quality complaints and performance issues, including disciplinary procedures as necessary or appropriate to achieve peak staff performance.
  • Ensures implementation and adherence to Human Resources policies and procedures through enforcement and accountability.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with the requirements of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position supervises employees within the department / division.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend and kneel on a regular basis.
  • Regular manual dexterity / coordination : hand / eye movements, motor control.
  • Regular visual effort : concentrated reading of documentation or close viewing of computer displays.
  • Ability to work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Able to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs. on an occasional basis.

  • English Language - Knowledge of structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
  • Required Education / Experience / Skills

  • Minimum of years 3-5 years previous supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of agricultural equipment.
  • Basic to intermediate computer experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
  • Preferred Education / Experience / Skills

  • High School graduate, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications, Licensees or Registrations Required / Preferred

  • Forklift Operation Certification preferred.
