Job Title : Welder II & III
Summary
With close or minimum supervision, welds and assembles mechanical and to some degree electrical systems to support production schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Employee must be able to perform these essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship.
- Under close or minimum supervision, welds sub-assembly and / or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions. This may include GMAW Process (MIG) Welding, Air Arc Gouging of A36 to 4140 heat treated steel in the flat, horizontal and vertical planes.
- With minimum supervision perform on-line testing and / or inspection activities.
- In accordance with procedures, cleans and prepares units for next operation.
- Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures, wears protective equipment as required to meet or exceed OSHA and company requirements.
- Complies with all requirements of Quality System requirements.
- May provide training to others on welding, assembly, inspection and / or test procedures.
- Maintains all aspects of workplace cleanliness and organization.
Additional Responsibilities :
Required to maintain accurate records.May be required to drive forklift trucks and operate other metal working machinery, overhead cranes manipulators and / or lifts.May be required to get additional training or certification on welding.May provide assistance to other departments, as needed.May be required to participate in Small Group Improvement Activity Teams, daily Team Meetings and Team Exercise sessions.Required to identify opportunities for improvements and submit in accordance with Continuous Improvement Program.Performs all other duties as assigned.Complies with the requirements of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).Level Skills Table Below :

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend and kneel on a regular basis.Regular manual dexterity / coordination : hand / eye movements, motor control.Regular visual effort : concentrated reading of documentation or close viewing of computer displays.Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down; not performing while the whole body is in motion.Work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.Able to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs. on an occasional basis.Required Education / Experience / Skills
High School graduate, or equivalent.Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.Ability to accept constructive criticism; ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.Robotic Welder will require computer skills in programming or running the welding programs.Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.Certifications, Licensees or Registrations Required / Preferred
Welding Certification.
